Meet Apple’s Newest in Sound: Earpods

After all these years Apple finally gave in and changed its default earphones that ship with almost all of its portable idevices. They have a new name too, something to match their weird-though-awesome new look- EarPods.
The EarPods have a unique and uncommon design which might seem strange at first. But Apple has invested heavily to create a better pair of earphones. EarPods are lighter, stronger and more durable. They are also designed to offer superior sound quality- something reserved for earphones of high-end smartphones.
The EarPods stay at the edge of the ears rather than inside the ears like other in-ear earphones. There is an opening at the back to enable proper airflow and two ports inside give deeper bass and better mids. Airflow is given higher priority so as to affect the overall performance. They cost $29 which is the same as those of the older ones.
The older earbuds are still available in the store and cost the same, though we would recommend the EarPods to anyone going for one. The in-ear earphones are also available for $79. While we haven’t been able to compare the EarPods with the in-ears, EarPods don’t seem very bad for the money at the moment, considering the fact that the in-ears don’t sound good enough at the price.
The EarPods match Apple’s style and the all-white-and-plastic earplugs look as good as the old ones and even better than most others available in the market. It has a space-age look and will surely go on to be the new style-statement, whether you have an iPhone/iPod or not!
