New Super Mario Bros 2 Review

With New Super Mario Bros 2, Nintendo has revisited the old classic franchises again. The game is a fun play with loads of exciting levels but lags the spark creativity which made original Mario games so magical.
New Super Mario Bros 2 a fun game??
In the real sense, New Super Mario Bros 2 is an old game with a “New” tag added to the title (last year’s Super Mario 3D land was the new Game) . It is a perfect revisit to the 1990′s Super Mario World. When you play this game, only thing which you get in abundance is the coins. You will find lots of coins to collect in this new version.
With New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS, the single user experience of the game is back which was missing in some of the previous upgrades to the game (New Super Mario Wii and New Super Mario Bros. for instance). The co-op option is still available if you prefer that. The levels redesigned in this game are probably better than it was for the Wii version. Collecting crapload of coins seems to be the major focus in them. It also has a persistent counter that tells you if you’ve gotten to a million coins.
This game also holds lots of hidden paths and are packed with secrets which makes it a fun play overall. I would rather consider this as the best out of various new mario games from Nintendo so far.
New Super Mario Bros 2 experience as compared to Previous upgrades to Mario?
If you have played last fall’s brilliant Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros 2 will feel hollow to you. This game takes very less energy to play as compared to other games released recently packed with high graphics. With this game, they have brought the chase in playing mario games which was missing in the classic game. The Mario runs to survive and win. The classic Mario felt like vibrant creative force.
User Interface and Graphics in New Super Mario Bros 2?
The really works great on the new 3DS XL as compared to the graphics injustice with original 3DS. The developers have done a great job in finding sweet spots of 3D where it was not too overwhelming, making it impressive at the same time.
I will give solid 4 out of 5 to New Super Mario Bros 2. A excellent fun game which takes less energy.
