Lenovo, once facing bad times has now strengthened its footholds in the Hardware market owing to its innovative product launches strongly seen in the last CES. The major quality that builds the edifice of Lenovo scoring it at the TOP 2 over Acer is its adaptability to market conditions, demands & newer Technology. Announcement of Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 in a manner that may not be called blatant displayed that distinct characteristic of the Tech giant and may in other words put Acer’s anti-Microsoft Surface debates to shame. 

It wasn’t even hours away when Acer officials, heads high were pounding in anti Microsoft slogans with Campbell Kan, Acer’s President for Personal Computer Global Operations blabbering to Financial Times about current market demands and considering of alternatives to Windows 8. He spoke,”If Microsoft… is going to do hardware business, what should we do?” he asked, “Should we still rely on Microsoft, or should we find other alternatives?” adding to which JT Wang, Chief Executive and Chairman of Acer, who claimed that the Surface will create a “huge negative impact for the ecosystem.” Lenovo plunging into the scenario came to the aid of Microsoft completely disagreeing to the statements. To prove its loyalty and staunch belief with Microsoft, specifically Windows, it announced  a new entrant to the Surface Market – “The ThinkPad Tablet 2“.

Clearly Lenovo has has discovered the hidden market prospects that it would have with Windows 8 that Acer is quite far to realized yet!! According to us we believe it is Lenovo’s business/enterprise user-centric behavior that is more sought after as compared to Acer’s consumer/home user satisfaction approach with cheap/affordable products. We suggest Acer must have the adaptability ”to go with the flow” and enhance its business opportunities because whatever the critics may comment on WIN8, it is absolutely the “next big thing” currently optimized specifically for tablets. So, tablet manufacturers, huge prospects ahead!!
