Corvette ZR-1 Review & Specifications

Corvette ZR-1 is the most expensive and powerful corvette model ever made. It is one of the top 5 carbon fiber super cars in the world.
Engine : (9/10)
It has got a 6.2-litre V8 engine giving nearly about 650bhp @ 6500 rpm and this super charged car generates a torque of 604 @ 3800 rpm on a RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) drive train which is tremendous as compared to its other siblings. Handling : (7/10)
In case of handling, ZR-1 can take over many of its rivals. The steering control is very good and the response is very fast, but the driver may feel little bit nervous when he put the car on full throttle as it has got the massive power of a supercharged v8 engine.
Performance : (9/10)
That means that when you put the car on full throttle you’ll see a speed of 0-62(0-122 kmph) mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 205(328 kmph) mph,but it comes with a 6-speed manual transmission which is a drawback for this super car and every time you shift the gears it makes a clinging sound so for better performance it could have been replaced by dual clutch manual or auto transmission.
Design : (7/10)
Coming to the design it has got a sporty look and a sleek design. It’s carbon fiber body makes the car lighter among the other products of corvette and it’s still counted among the top 5 carbon fiber supercars in the world.
Brakes, Tires, and Wheels
The Corvette ZR1 has got the largest wheels among Corvettes. The rear rims are of20 inchesand front rims are of19 inchesin diameter. Rear wheel width is a whopping12 inches, while the front wheels are10 inchesin diameter. The braking system got Brembo carbon-ceramic rotors which are used on the Bugatti Veyron supercar. GM says the rotors are very durable that they do not require any replacement for the life of the vehicle and coming to suspension it has got monotube shock absorbers. Which you can find in rest of the corvettes.
Price
For a while just forget that it is exorbitant then the other corvettes, but when you consider a Ferrari 458 it is double the price of a Zr-1 and, a Bugatti Veyron is over 10 times more expensive than this!!
