LONDON 2012: Most Socio Media Savvy Olympics ever kicks off !!!

Four years have made way back once again for one of the glorious & magnanimous Event on earth “OLYMPICS“. An auspicious religious event for sports & its devotees all over the world seems more Gadgetic this year bubbling right along with its sports essence!!!
Summer Olympics 2012 – officially the Games of the XXX Olympiad, also known informally as London 2012 (“Inspire a Generation“) has begun amidst huge pomp and show at London, United Kingdom on 27th July. The show will continue charming it spectators & participating knights till 12th August 2012 when it will be finally put to an end with a grand Closing Ceremony. The torch used to lit the sacred Olympic Flame traveled 7 continents carried by several figures of fame as a custom before the final Opening Ceremony.
Gadgetians may question, so what is different at this year’s Olympics? Intrusion of social media & its integration deep into the roots of LONDON 2012 is what makes it stand right ahead, unique of any other Olympics in history.
Such an arrangement required a well calculated IT framework that would serve the complex setup effectively and in turn prepare a robust service backbone to aid the Games. OLYMPICS LIVE STREAM:
Out of the social sphere, its time for hot live streams, BBC clips into the picture collaborating with
ADOBE – yes you have heard it right!! Adobe now has to do something more than just Flash, experimenting with its PrimeTime feature, BBC + Adobe team is providing 24 Live Streams through an interactive player where users can pause, rewind and more all possible through the new HTML5 App built using Adobe’s PhoneGap bought last year. They will be broadcasting quality MPEG 2 streams using Adobe’s own own HTTP Dynamic streaming (HDS) as well as Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming. For the BBC, this means that it can provide adaptive streaming for a variety of devices, with bit rates automatically adapting to bandwidth constraints without the need for a video stream to restart and re-buffer. The 24 online channels alone will provide some 2,500 hours of live coverage of the events!!
GOOGLE also has its own personal contributions to make for LONDON 2012, simply type “Olympics” into the standard Google search bar, and you will be presented with Real Time Event Updates, adding to which is worth to mention are the beautiful GOOGLE DOOLDLES.
