The much awaited Samsung Galaxy S3, the latest smartphone from Samsung, is expected to hit the Indian market on Thursday i.e. today. The South Korean company launched the device in Europe last Tuesday and it’s expected that the device will be available for Indian consumers today.

Update: Finally the device has been launched in India and will cost 43,180 INR.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been compared in many ways with Apple iPhone 4s lately and it’s actually worthy of the comparison. After all it has got a bunch of new and exciting features. The smartphone comes with a 4.8 inch screen and runs on Android 4.0 (ICS). The device is smart enough to detect when you are looking at the screen and it automatically maintains a bright display to enhance your viewing experience. This feature is known as “Smart Stay“.

The burst mode allows you to take twenty continuous pictures without any problem. The 8 MP camera lets you capture images of moving bodies without any delay.

The Pop up Play feature allows you to watch HD videos while sending an email or text message.  S3 is also equipped with NFC technology.

The price of the device in India may vary between 34k and 38k.
