Karbonn launches SmartTab A1 Tablet

After letting you know some of the budget friendly tablets like Micromax funbook, Karbonn is set to join the tablet league with its SmartTab A1 Tablet. It houses a 7 inch screen with 480 x 800 resolutions. It is powered by Ice cream sandwich and is targeted to lower segment tablet market. The tablet has 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and capacitive touch screen. The internal storage is 8GB which can be expanded by an additional 32 GB with a microSD card.
What I personally liked about it is, it has a 2 MP front-facing camera which enables video calling. It has 3G, Wi-Fi and comes with USB 2.0 and HDMI port. The tablet houses a big 3700mAh battery which the company is confident, will provide 8 hours of net surfing, 9 hours of video and a day long for music playback. The dimension of the device is not yet mentioned but it has a 3D G-sensor which the company claims will provide enhanced gaming experience. What was actually strange is that the company hasn’t yet released the price but have started pre-orders on its website. That implies they will put a final price tag according to the pre-orders,but the price is expected to be around 10 k.
Since tablet market has been dominated by Apple with its retina display and many other mouth-watering features. Only the price tag may not attract customers. What customers want is Value added services (like micromax is offering apps like bigflix and many more pre-loaded).So, hopefully karbonn will also be adding some Value added services.
