Is it Dell vs new iPad?

Dell as we all know is counted among the best PC makers worldwide. It is for sure that Dell will join the tablet makers community soon. Dell seeks an edge on iPad with business focused Tablets powered by Windows 8.
“We’ll be there right on the very first day that Windows 8 is available” Michael Dell said. He added “Dell will continue to diversify beyond PCs by investing in acquisitions and research spending”.
Dell intends to surprise the market by providing the enterprise with a secure tablet running on Windows 8.It is something that has lot of demands but somehow gets neglected. With Dell’s tablet powered by Windows 8 Dell wants to lead the tablet market. But with “The new iPad” out on Friday Dell has a tough road ahead. Dell says that its new tablet will be mainly targeted at enterprise customers. Since Apple is a consumer oriented device that has a mass market demand, it seems that Dell is trying the enterprise and specialized ones. Dell has also said as much, confessing that it confidences to become the top choice for tablets in enterprise sector killing the craze for iPad, which is the current favourite everywhere
“We’re very encouraged by the touch capability we are seeing in the beta versions of Windows 8,” Felice told Reuters in an interview in London, adding that Dell may also try out making Android tablets again.
“We have a roadmap for tablets that we haven’t announced yet. You’ll see some announcements soon….for the 2nd half of the year, we don’t think that this market is closed off in any way. ”He added.
Dell has recently launched a so-called ultra-book, a high-end notebook that is light and tinny but still at least as powerful as a regular laptop. The XPS 13 costs around $995. ”The demand has been excellent since we launched this product just a week ago,” Felice said. “It is a fantastic product and shows our commitment to the PC space. We like the PC space. We are extremely committed to it.”
Asked whether he is jealous of Apple’s ability to produce such fashionable objects like the iPhone and iPad Felice replied: “We come at the market in a different way … We are predominantly a company that has a great eye on the commercial customer who also wants to be a consumer. In the areas where we come at the market, we think we are a coveted brand.“”On the commercial side there are a lot of concerns about security, systems and device management, and I think Dell is in the best position to meet those,“
Felice pointed out that Dell’s relationships with its numerous customers gave it an edge over Apple, whose devices can cause bothers for IT departments because they operate totally on a different platform.
No official release dates has yet been confirmed,Dell’s Tablet is eagerly awaited and hoping it to be even better than new iPad but only time will reveal the fact.
