Polaroid has not only launched tablets at MWC this year but it has set its goals in launching new smart phones too. Polaroid PRO range seems to be pitched at the Alcatel’s side of spectrum.

Polaroid a very famous photographic company ironically has launched phones with pretty under powered camera specs. However Polaroid has claimed that when the phones hit the markets, they are going to get a better sensors for the camera. The PRO X11B which has a 1.3 MP cam will get a 2 MP cam and the PRO A12 will get a 5 MP sensor instead of the regular 3MP one.

It was very unfortunate to find that Polaroid’s flagship mobile didn’t make it to the MWC which we were told was running HTC Sense. Never the less we managed to check out some other models and very oddly they felt old, out of place and plasticky.

It has got a 1 GHz processor and a screen resolution of 800X480 pixels.

Polaroid assures us that the devices will get a face lift before launch and they will up the specs. Polaroid’s choice of pricing and distribution are not very clear yet. But we expect them to bring out the models by end of 2nd quarter.
