Acer has been one of those companies whose tryst with android is what one can call, modest. This year Acer has come out with yet another smart phone the LIQUID GLOW.
Acer clearly is aiming at the mid-range mobile market with this particular device. The specs are average, 1 GHz processor with a 512 MB RAM combined with a pretty crisp display make it a nice choice.
It has nice sloped edges with a soft back covering making it a delight to hold. The attention to build quality is spot-on. It has 3.7 inch screen with a resolution of 800 X 480 pixels. It has a pretty dense pixel density of 252 ppi making images appear crisp and very detailed. The volume rocker is also pronounced, making it very ergonomic to press.
Acer has provided Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) as the OS and has not messed much with the original UI. The camera is of 5 MP and takes some nice shots both in daylight as well as in low-light conditions. Overall it makes for a very nice and smooth experience and scores pretty much in user experience.
