Mobile World Congress 2012 : Day 1 Overview

The day 1 of Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona was full of surprise launches and raised the technology to a new bar.
Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest trade show on the planet, Earth. It focuses solely on Mobile devices and attracts biggest brands in this field. The first day of MWC was definitely delivered as expected by the people around the world. The two most talked about launches today were the quad core processors and Android 4.0 (Ice cream Sandwich) which will releasing on March 2012. The day also saw Android Phones getting better hardware and newer software.

Firstly Huawei announced their latest smartphone Ascend D Quad and claims it be the fastest smartphone in the world. It is believed that the device will perform better than either Apple iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
LG also announced their new flagship smartphone the Optimus 4X HD. The device is powered by a quad core processor and offers a 4.7 inch HD screen as well as 4G receiver facility.
Sony declared a new phone as an extension to the Xperia series. The new smartphones are Xperia P and U and customers can buy them at mid range prices.
HTC announced an improvement to the tie-up with Dropbox which offers enhanced file back up and synchronization and the new One smartphone range focused on improving design and photography. The HTC one X, S and V boast of the improved camera, software and design.
Samsung Releases Its First Projector Phone For MWC The “Galaxy Beam”
