Verizon 4G LTE: The first Company with 4G

So finally Verizon becomes the first 4G network provider by launching its network on 8th December, 2010 which covers 38 metropolitan areas and 60 commercial Airports summing 110 million Americans. Verizon is also planning to cover 140 new markets in 2011. Peeping into the Verizon 4G LTE technical details it is 10 times faster than Verizon’s own 3G network. We can expect a download speed of 5-12 Mbps as compared to 0.6-1.4 Mbps of 3G network. 4G LTE network offers reduced latency or lag time with improved buffering speed and real-time responsiveness. Verizon has tied up with HTC to get world’s first 4G LTE phone named as Thunderbolt. Other phones as Motorola Atrix and Samsung Epic are also in pipeline to confirm their launch.
